App Store Update: December 4
Every day hundreds of new apps make their debut on the App Store, and hundreds more are updated or reduced in price. We have sifted through the noise and highlighted those select few that might be worth your attention.
Raiden Legacy – ($4.99)
Today’s new release of note is Raiden Legacy, a four-games-in-one compilation package that brings together a quarter of classic vertical-scrolling shoot-‘em-ups.
Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition – ($1.99)
As we’re nearing the end of 2012, and this game came out in 2011, its name is getting slowly more and more out of date. You can play it to celebrate Another World’s 20th anniversary, sure, but the game’s closer to 22 now. In any event, it’s cheap right now. So buy it and play it, before that 20th anniversary falls even farther into the past!
Batman Arkham City Lockdown – ($0.99)
The release of Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray and DVD has prompted another sale for this Gotham-based brawler, so consider picking it up alongside your purchase of the film.
Nun Attack – (Free)
The rest of today’s Price Drops are all price dropped down to free, so get ready for some downloading. First up is Nun Attack, the action game starring the violent version of the cast from Sister Act.
Babel Rising 3D – (Free)
If you’d rather not play as a woman of faith and just become God directly instead, here’s the weather-manipulating, tower-trashing Babel Rising 3D.
Bombshells: Hell’s Belles – (Free)
Well, we’ve got kind of an unexpected religious theme going on today, don’t we? Because next up are the Belles from Hell, flying through the sky dogfighting in their supersonic jets.
Call of Snakes – (Free)
And to finish off the Price Drops we’ve got Call of Snakes, a shooter that mashes up its gunplay with the traditional rules for “Snake,” so you’ve got to keep from running into your line of heroes as you’re flinging bullets around.
Rayman: Jungle Run – ($2.99)
Finally, it’s a bit of ASU déjà vu for you, as Rayman: Jungle Run was just featured in yesterday’s edition as a recommended buy. Today it’s back again, though, because a new update has just gone live for it – adding 10 new levels (for free) and making Globox a playable character (for a small fee).
That’s it for today! If you haven’t already, subscribe to the App Store Update via email. For convenience!
